Image of The Week: Hong Kong – The Chaos and Color of The Kowloon Peninsula

This weeks image is another captured in Hong Kong during a brief stopover over just after this past new years period. Hong Kong is one of my most favorite cities in the world. This was my second visit, and I can guarantee it won’t be my last. The Chaos that unfolds before you each and every day, makes for great photo opportunities. This image was captured in Kowloon, my favorite part of Hong Kong, and is not far from the suburb that has been described as the most densely populated square mile on the planet.

Hey Erica, Thanks for that, I’m slowly improving the hand held night shots with a little help from the higher ISO range. I know you love your photography, so if you ever get to Hong Kong make sure you have plenty of time. There is always something going on.

Hey Wai, Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. I can only imagine what it’s like to live in Hong Kong. It’s a crazy city, and especially the Kowloon Peninsula. For a traveler (and a photographer) it’s everything you’re looking for, but I can only begin to image the drama’s you must face day to day living there. I love the place, and will be back again.

I LOVE hong kong.. but I bet for different reasons:P Shopping .. FOOD! ( ok, maybe food? LOL)

Hey Ciki, I agree that Hong Kong is a great destination for food, and don’t worry as I know all about the shopping. Liza loves it each time we go. Then again, that’s fine as it gives me plenty of time for my photography.

I love Hong Kong. This photo really makes me miss all the good times I had walking around Kowloon.

  • http://www.digid-rift.com Jason

Hey Steve, It can’t see how anyone wouldn’t enjoy Hong Kong and especially Kowloon. To me Hong Kong is one of the greatest cities in the world and one of the few cities that I could actually live in outside of my home town of Melbourne.

This shot definitely epitomises Hong Kong – chaos, colour, bright lights – love it!
