Image of the week: USA – Chicago river bridge

This image was taken in Chicago in late December 2004. Many people tend to visit places during their peak time of year, and for good reason, but given the chance to visit Chicago in winter, was great. The weather was bitterly cold, and although there had been heavy snow falls a couple of weeks earlier, we had fine weather albeit extremely cold. The many bridge’s crossing the Chicago River make for some great images.

Thanks Elise. Don’t let anyone know, but this shot was actually taken on compact camera with a 3 inch tripod. We were out for dinner that night and I didn’t have the SLR with me.
